Trunks Company was born out of craftsmanship; a passion for it and a prowess in it. Instinctively so, ‘craft’ is at the core of our existence. Ours is a journey, so evolutionary and evocative–of how we bridge tradition to innovation, bond designers with artisans and manifest dreams into a reality. By ever-evolving the art of trunkmaking, we have birthed an artistic idiom of our own.

The artistry, unique to our craft, entails an attention to detail, thoughtfulness and skill guided by human touch, that is rare and sought-after. Sensorial, in its truest sense, is this romantic narrative of weaving our creations together; where each trunk is passed from the skilful hold of one master craftsman to another–as it will, someday, be handed down from one generation onto another.

In a dialogue between creativity and craftsmanship, a symphony of sensual materials is composed by hands and hearts in harmony at the Trunks Company atelier. As we orchestrate the elements of a trunk, from casting brass hardware using the lost-wax technique to carving an inlay of teakwood to bring definition to the trunk’s framework, our innate ingenuity is perpetually in play.

An interplay of fine craftsmanship with the finest leather, wood and metal, originated by us, comes to life over hundreds or perhaps, thousands of hours, and breakthroughs in our trunkmaking. It is almost metamorphic; this dramatic affair of challenging and transcending our latitude, day after day and trunk after trunk, for it elevates our artisans to artists and our creations to works of art.
